We made the reservations on line, we have been going to Florida in the winter for 10 years and have never found a place this bad. Frank's web page said one thing but it was all false.

He showed 6 associations he allegedly belonged to including, AAA, BBB, Superior Small Lodging Association and three others. After stopping at the location, we never checked in, we advised him we would not stay and told him not charge our credit card. Of course he did.

We checked with AAA and they advised us that the Siesta Motel is not a member. We then checked all of their associations and found that they were not a member and in fact some of them were made up.

Getting back to the day we arrived, there was no-one to greet us and a handy man had to call him to come over. While we waited we walked around the grounds and were appaled by the condition. When Frank showed up we told him we would not be staying and that he was not to charge our card. The con man in him came out and I told him he was one. So while I would have liked to continue our heated discussion, I choose not to ruin our vacation, confident that my credit card company would support me.

Well Frank was a better con man then I thought, we did not follow the proper procedure to cancel, which is 20 days before arriving. So my credit card company said that even though he lied and misrepresented his rotten motel, he is still due his $564.73 charge and as of this writing he has been paid. To add insult to injury he lied on his statement and said we never showed up, we took pictures before we left.

So beware, do not stay here and watch out how you use your credit card for confirming reservations.
