Minigetaways took my money and gave me nothing! Do not fall for this scam! 1

In April I found this great deal in my local newspaper stating that a family was moving and needed to sell their vacation package to Florida. Excited, I called and received a voice mail advising me to contact their, "Travel Agent." I did this as well. I spoke with a female at MiniGetaways who indicated that the family who had originally purchased this vacation was unable to take their vacation and needed to sell it very cheap. I specifically asked her if this was a, "Time Share" and she stated, "No." After speaking with her and getting further information I decided to purchase the vacation for my children and I. She then transferred me to, "PATRICK." After clarifying with him that this was not a Time Share, I agreed to the terms and purchased this vacation. When I received the "package" approximately a week later it consisted of additional charges that I had not orignally agreed to. I attempted to contact MiniGetaways about receiving a refund. I followed every term in the "Contract" and I did not receive any response for approximately 3-4 weeks. Finally, after numerous letters and phone calls, I contacted "Patrick." To say he is arrogant, unlawful, and greedy would be an understatement. His name I will never forget. He did not care to hear anything I had to say. I asked him for a refund and he basically told me that I would not get a refund and that I would be lucky to receive my vacation vouchers. (It has now been 11 months since then and I STILL have NOT received these vouchers. I have spent the last 11 months sending numerous notarized letters to MiniGetaways and the Better Business Bureau. I have made countless phone calls only to find out that MiniGetaways has irronically moved their business and changed their phone numbers. Needless to say, the BBB has offered me no assistance and MiniGetaways continues to victimize people with this same scam. I have read other Scam Reports from other people who give the SAME story as mine, almost verbatum. My hope is that this company be brought to justice and that others will not fall victim to this company in the future.
