Scam! Please be careful

Saw an ad in a local paper about a person selling their vacation that they paid $750 for, for only $249. It listed a NH phone number, which I called and it took me straight to a voicemail message saying "we are currently going through a divorce and our travel agent has taken over the tickets. Please contact 877-332-7530 and make your purchase there".

I called the number and when I spoke to the operator I told him I was calling about a couple who were selling their tickets through them from NH... I was not specific at all. The man who answered the phone said "i dont know if those tickets are available let me transfer you". I got transfered to a woman named JoAnne who knew exactly what I was talking about... I didnt realise until after that her having any clue about some couple in NH breaking up is unlikely!

After having all package features explained to me having the total cost be only $289 and getting as much verification as I could from JoAnne, I gave her my checking account number. AFTER I gave her my checking account # she told me that my money would be directly deposited in the couples Bank of America account... I immediatley hung up on her and did a little research on the company. I was taken directly to complaint's site and a few other blogs where I read startling facts about the company being a scam. I called back to "joanne" with my bank listening in on the other line -I let her know that I did a little research of my own on Mini Getaways and told her what I discovered. She got extremely annoyed and was getting snappy with me, so I told her that I absolutley do not authorize them to take any money out of my account and let her know all of my banking information has changed effective immediatley.

So far, I have spent 4 hours on this just trying to make sure that my money is protected. PLEASE people, do not use this company!!! Protect your hard earned money.
