I went to work for this man, as a company driver. I worked 3 weeks before receiving a paycheck, an it was $200 short. Turns out He keeps $200 untill it totals $1000, he calles that an escrow, I call it BS. Its just another way he rips off the drivers. His son is the dispatcher, does'nt tell you what the paid miles are, an you dont get paid for dead head miles under 100 mi.
His equipment is total junk, very nasty, never detailed. The trucks I drove had dirty mattress, so I covered it the best i could, an used my sleeping bag. Everytime I told the owner of mechanical problems, I was ignored. When I persisted he cussed at me. If something breaks down on the truck he the owner, blames the driver.
DOT was no help, they didnt want to inspect a filthy truck, covered in ice/snow. I dont blame them. His equipment has break problems, air leaks, steering, suspension worn out piece of crap. I got hurt in his truck, an he wouldnt take me to the doctor. WHY I found out why. 1st he doesnt take out taxes on his company drivers, which means he isnt reporting all his income, thats called tax evasion. IRS states if your a company driver this must be done. Which also means he wasnt paying into workmans comp, as the law requires.
2nd= I learned after the fact, that his safety rating (safety stat.com) is 96.55 and going higher. This man still owes me $1300. An refuses to pay me. He lied to the "dept of labor" accusing me of wrecking the truck. A total liar and crook. Im glad I took pic's of the truck the day I left. This will be helpful when I sue him In court.
3rd=this man has alot of foreigners working for him, I guess so he can cheat them easier. He ownes 9 trucks, an the rest are owner operators. Well when CSA2010 ROLLES AROUND he wont be in bussiness much longer.
