Fun Pak Vacations
Consumer rip-off fraud

Traveling & Tourism

This company pretended I had won an hourly prize on a particular website. When I phoned and asked if I was really a prize winner the representative maintained enthusiastically that I was a big prize winner. She then offered me what seemed an incredible offer (at the time) for a package holiday in Florida & Mexico. She reiterated that although a prize winner, I would have to sign up then and there for the deal or else it would go to someone else. Assured by her words I agreed to pay 598 pounds for prize - a supposedly highly discounted holiday package.

Shortly afterwards I realised that:

- It wasn't a prize since everyone else who went to that website received the same "prize". It was simply a rip-off promotion.

- The representative was lying to me all along that it was a prize and that I would lose out if I didn't sign up immediately, which wasn't true at all.

- Cancellation of any sort was impossible because it was a "final sale" (i.E. Rip-off)

- Flights were not included and the holiday had to be booked at least 2 months in advance.

This was a devious scam involving fraudulent misrepresentation that has cost me dear. Stay clear of this company - any "prize" they offer you is a sham promotion masquerading as such.
