Santa Clarita Motel
Rude! Dirty! Lying Rip Offs!

My daughter had to stay unexpectedly in Santa Clarita last night 6/17/03. Unfamilur with the area she called me and ask me to find something close to were she was. So I got busy on the web. Found something very close to her that seemed to be a good deal the Santa Clarita Motel. Called and asked the rates for one Bed I had found a special at roomsavers.com for 46.99 but was told this was not available that it would be $50.

Asked if they had any left they said yes, gave them my daughters name and tried to give my credit card to hold it but said it had to be hers but did take her name and said they would hold it. She got there 5 mins. Later and was told they didn't have the 1 bed room but she could have a 2 bed room for 60 so she took it. She got to the room the lights didn't work! Only one light by the bed worked on the dimest setting.

There where big cigerated burns in the bedspreed and the room stank of smoke ect. She called the front desk told them the problems and ask to be moved to a non-smoking room. They told her they could change her but that would be another $6 for the nonsmoking room so she went back to the front and got the new key and gave the girl $6. The new room didn't have a Fridge or microwave either. I called today and asked the rate for a room with 2 beds was told $62 then asked if this was for a non-smoking room was told yes.

Then I asked them why they charged extra last night, gave them my daughters name. Was first told she didn't stay there then was told she was charged $60 when I told him what happened and that apperantly the girl at the front desk pocketed $6 he went irate couldn't understand much since it was broken english to start with and I believe a lot of spanish then he hung up on me. Wasn't much money but it's the principle. They where very rude and deceptive!
