Professional Military Officer, travelling on government orders, stayed at Candlewood Suites Kansas City Speedway for eight months. To summarize the problems: housekeeping appointments were kept less than half the time, usually needed to be rescheduled 2-3 times each week.

Raised rates and overcharged by 30% without notifying me (I was on an emergency casualty assistance mission for a burn victim in Afghanistan). Lockouts occurred daily, every day for months, staff lied, staff failed to man the front desk or phones.

Managers were rude, even said to me in the lobby where I was wearing my military uniform that I would be better off at a hotel that rents by the hour. Disgusting, unprofessional, and even illegal behavior. I finally made a complaint on the corporate website and the manager then constructed false allegations about my behavior, other hotel guests making complaints against me, and destruction of property, then called my commanding officer and sent out copies of my confidential emails to the corporate office.

Malicious staff, liars, disgusting language and actions. Zero professionalism. Due to the defamation at my place of employment, the military legal office is currently exploring a suit for defamation. These people actually have a sign out front of the hotel that says "We Support Our Troops." They should take it down and put something up more accurate like "We steal, lie, and defame our Troops."
