Vacation Network
RIpoff - Think about it people

Traveling & Tourism

Ok - so you get a call from Vacation Network and you've won or been selected to receive free airline tickets. All you have to do is give some information and you'll be receiving a letter in the mail to set up a time to meet with the representatives at Westgate in Glendale, Arizona. No obligation and free of charge.

Think just a minute...

Free airline tickets anywhere in the U.S...

No obligation...

So you stop and Google "Vacation Network".interesting that the first couple of entries on Google are for reports on... Consumer complaints.com... Hmmmmmmmm

So you read some of the reports, most of them very unhappy. Except you notice some rebuttals from people who were very happy with the program. I don't know about you, but if I'm really happy with a company, I usually don't take the time to check them out on a consumer complaint website. You don't think that maybe these rebuttals are being written by people who work for the company do you? They wouldn't do THAT would they?

But you really, REALLY want to believe you're lucky enough to have been the winner of these tickets right? Think about it some more. This company has a call center staffed with people (who can barely speak english by the way) calling out 24 hours a day - 7 days a week to people just like you and me. If ALL of us were really lucky enough to be "winners", I'm pretty sure they'd be out of business pretty quick giving away airline tickets.

I assure you, at the end of the day, you and your money will part ways and you will have paid for these airline tickets many times over by the time they are done with you.

So what's my angle? Nothing really - I got a call from these guys today and thought it would be interesting to dig a little deeper and find out what they are about. I guess I'm just tired of the stupid calls and decided to express myself. It's a variation on a theme that's been going on for years - TravelBridge, YTB, Vacation Network, Global Vacation Network... They're all the same - they'll pop up, scam as many as they can, get busted, and reappear under a new name.

Use your heads people and repeat after me - "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is."
