My Mountain Cabin Rentals
Careless, lying mountain cabin rental company... Do not expect them to fix anything

After a long, bumpy year full of working and stress we were really looking forward to spend 10 days in the blue ridge mountains. So i started to look for a cabin to rent. I found this really good looking website with lots of choices: www.1mymountain.com and picked three of the cabins, sent email to them about the availability. I got a quick response and picked one of the cabins. Then i called them and asked many-many questions about the amenities, size, location, etc. Of course, i was told how wonderful this specific cabin was... I put the deposit down.

Then came december 25... After 11 hours of exhausting driving from florida we got to the cabin. First of all, it was not secluded at all, although they swore it was. Then when we entered, i bursted into tears. They promised us a 1400 sqft. Cabin, this was hardly 700!!! Huge spiderwebs everywhere, central heating was broken, the bulbs were out, it was dirty, the tv did not work... Do i have to go on???!!! I called the office right away to get another cabin, but it was closed.

Next day they called me and said they do not fix anything that is the owner responsibility and offered me a generous one night refund!!! Wow!!! Luckily, some of our friends were renting a huge, beautiful cabin not far, so we could stay with them for a week. We are outraged and frustrated over the carelessness, lying and poor service of this company. Good advice: if you ever look for a mountain or vacation cabin rental, just rent it from the owner directly, because the rental companies do not fix or repair anything and lie about anything just to get their profit!!!
