Complete RIP-OFF Too Good To Be True and NO SERVICE!

Traveling & Tourism

While on vacation in Charleston, SC my wife and I were approached by a fast talking "college boy". He offered us free tickets to some things we wanted to do around the city and money (cash) and a card for "free gas". My wife and I attended a high pressure sales presentation. The salesman painted a great picture of what seemed to be a "too good to be true" vacation plan.

The company representative made many claims about the company, how many years they have been in business, the great service we would receive, and the terrific wholesale prices we would be awarded as members. Although, we were promised we would not be pressured, the salesman started at one price and then some how got the price way down while giving us the exact same plan. He promised great benefits for our family members and no yearly membership fee, ever!

We asked to see their website and we were told for some technical reasons we could not. We asked to be given time to go think about our decision because after all we were on the first vacation we had taken in 3 years. We were told their offer was only good while we were there in the office. If we walked out then the great offer went away. So we purchased. We made many calls to the service departments but our calls were not returned. We also found out this company has a terrible reputation with the Better Business Bureau.

We finally talked to a man at their office and were told to put our complaints in writing to get our money back. We did this and our refund was not sent. We contacted our credit card company to reverse the charges, which they did for us. Later, our credit card company charged us again. We were told we signed a contract that could not be cancelled! This has been a long and frustrating situation. We could have spent our hard earned money on a great vacation instead of giving it to The Vacation Station.

If you are in Charleston, SC, on vacation beware of the people on the sidewalk that offer you free tickets and money! Buy your own tickets and keep your money in your pocket! This has cost us time and money and we have had several arguments about why we were stupid enough to buy this thing in the first place. We just wasted our money.
PS: We can't get our "free gas" without a huge hassle either.
