Also waiting for the deposit refund Rip-0ff did finally get vacation package

I have been trying to get MVI to respond to my request to refund the deposit we sent in to secure our vacation. We sent the deposit during the second quarter of 2001.

It took over a year for the company to finally secure dates for our vacation. Due to no available date issues we selected a date for July for Orlando. We sent the funds to cover taxes etc based on the itinerary for Orlando Florida but were told that there was no availability for the dates we had selected. I was informed of this when I began calling MVI in June to determine the status of our vacation. We were told we had to select alternate dates at least 90 days out.

We ended up changing the location from Orlando to Las Vegas which was eventually worked out for October. This took a great deal of time and expense (since I have not been able to secure a toll free number for MVI) (I also have not been able to find out if the funds we sent to cover taxes etc for Orlando were more that what was required for Las Vegas).

I had to call continually during the first few weeks of October to ensure that we would have our air tickets and hotel confirmation by the travel dates.

To add to our dilemma we flew on National airline. The airline went out of business the day before we were to return home.

I saw a post from a gentleman for Houston giving a phone number to call MVI. 813-621-1400 I called this number today, got right though to someone and was transferred to customer service. The customer service representative also told me I should receive a refund in 2 to 3 weeks. I have been told that before when I called in December of last year.

We attended another presentation and were given a mini vacation package for a cruise from Galveston Texas. Not sure if I want to go through all this hassle again.
