Economy Inn, San Antonio Texas Nasty DO NOT STAY

We were excited to visit the area and see our son graduate. Looking on line to find a Hotel close by and seeing the ad giving the hotel 2.5 out of 5 and that it said it was newly remodeled we figured that it had to be OK. The room rate of 70 dollars binging a mid price range for the area was also factor. Pictures on the internet are deceiving... Looks nice but beware.

After drining 18 hours we arrive. The room was the worst that we have ever seen. We have stayed at hotels ranging from 44 to 180 dollars a night and the 44 dollar hotel beats this hole hands down.

Enter the room to a chair that is supposed to be mauve - it was brown - I have pictures to prove it. I wouldn't let my worst enemy sit in it. You are given 2 very small bath towels, 2 hand towels and 1 wash cloth that looks like it was new in the 60's and so worn out the little loops are missing on most of the cloth. It looked like it was used to wash the tires of the car then put in the room with the grease stains. I have pictures of this too... OH - HERE IS THE TOPPER, the sheets are stained... I wanted to throw up.

Unfortunately for us it was 1 am so we stayed but only after pulling our futon out of the truck with our own sheets and pillows.

The comfort inn the next day at 85 dollars was a god send.
