Traveling & Tourism

I received a call - after I fill out a form on the internet - saying "congratulations, you have been selected for a great vacation. The operator (Charline) recommanded her-self as representing Universal Adventure, a travel company from Georgia. She took a lot of time explaining about the trip: 3 days 2 nights - orlando FL @ calypso cay resorts.
- pair of 2 VIP day passes to universal studio or universal island of adventure.
- 3 days 2 nights - Daytona beach @ holiday inn includes - accomadation and two steling casino tickets
-3 days & 2 night all inclusive cruise -Bhamas cruise

During the call, she asked me for the credit card no for "verification", and after a while she informed me that I just paied 500$ for this vacation. She made sure that I understand that I was paying for a vacation that normally cost more than 2000$. At the end she let me know that they already charged my credit card with this amount (500$). I was very surprised to hear that I am paying my free vacation, so I asked her in what condition and if I can have my money back, because I still didn't understand the idea of a free vacation that I am paying with 500$, and she gave me the "extensible, exchangeable and (something) refundable" explanation. Because I understood that the vacation voucher I was paying is refundable, I agreed... I didn't know that the operator said in fact "nonrefundable", because if I would, at the time, I would immediately express my disagreement with this. But I truly didn't understand... So, once my call ended, because I had a strange feeling about it, I made a search on the internet with the name of the company, Universal Adventure, and I found information that confirmed me there was a fraud. So I immediately called My Credit Card Company and I let them know that I was misguided, that I was victim of a scam and all they managed to say was that, because I gave my credit card no, they can do anything. I was stupefied, my credit card company just stepped back and let me deal with this... So I started to search more information, and I found that I can, eventually write cancellation messages and letters to Florida Departement of Agriculture and hope that I will make Universal Adventure to give my money back, but they (Universal adventure) threatened me with a recording when I agree with the fact that the vacation voucher is "nonrefundable". They also said that they are not under the jurisdiction of Florida Department of Agriculture because they are in Georgia. Anyway, I hope that with my consumer complaints I will be able to help other people from being scammed by this disgraceful company.
