We received a mailing "get a 3 day, 2 night stay free" from "Marriott". I'd never done this before, but had friends who had, and thought I would give them a call while on our way driving to the beach. Called them on the car speakerphone. Set up appointment for over month in advance (we were going to be out of country).interestingly, the return address on the mailing was 9337 West Sample Road, #201 Coral Springs, FL, but I was told NOT to go there - to go to 7663 instead. Took confirmation code, then was put on with the "manager" to confirm my appointment. He confirmed my appointment for the current month (instead of the next month like I had told the lady). When I explained that was incorrect, he got very abusive and tried to push me into the appointment. Before handing up he was using the "f" word, but I'm not sure that he knew he was still on the phone. I was amazed. I called back to speak to a manager, and got this same guy. He was verbally abusive, and after initially denying he had said such things, when I told him he was on speakerphone he just got mean again. I am amazed that Marriott would not sue them over use of their name. I did a search by the address on the internet, and found all of these other reports under "Elite Getaways" and thought I should post this... I also filed a report with the local law enforcement...
