Wyndham Vacation Resorts - Fairfield Resorts
Scammed us out of 159.00, because we fell for their bait and switch!

Be very careful when dealing with this company. Wyndham is really Fairfield, but their paperwork does not say so, probably becuase if you check the consumer complaintss you won't find Wyndham resorts as far as i can tell.

This company led us to believe we would spend 3 nights in one of their resorts in San Diego if we would listen to a 90 minute sales pitch. They took our money over the phone, and later, when the reservation came, we found we were scheduled to stay in a 2.5 star hotel in San Diego, in a dwontown area, with no pool, etc.

When I called them, after a 25 minute wait the first time, with the rudest "customer service" person I have ever encountered in 50 years, I was told they had no record of our name or phone number, and the woman hung up on me. After another wait on the phone for exactly 52 minutes, listening to "please be assured your call is important to us", I finally hung up.

I tried every other number I could track down, finally found a human being who connected me, and was told "sorry, there's nothing we can do about it." Apparently, we had a fifteen day window (which we never knew nor could find on any paperwork) to cancel. I was also told that it is usually not possible to stay in a resort since the owners are using them... Something they never mentioned when selling us the "vacation".

They expected us to spend money flying to San Diego to stay in a 2.5 star hotel? We can drive 10 miles to Portland to do that. How many other people have they ripped off over the years? Be wary of this company!
