Bad service at choice motels

We stayed at the Comfort Suites of Mackinac City MI. It was a very disappointing trip. When we first arrived the room we reserved was given away so they wanted to upgrade us for a "small fee" after I protested a lot we were given the bigger room for the price of the one we reserved.

Then we were informed that a wedding was going on in the motel's breakfast room, so we were sent to another motel in town for breakfast. We were using the pool and other guests were smoking and drinking beer in glass bottles in the pool area, the front desk was notified and their answer was "thats allowed". There was vomit in the hallways, and rodent droppings on the counter. I called the company and informed them of my problems, they did spend $4.64 to send me a certified letter telling me that there was a "misunderstanding" with all parties involved.
