Your belongings are NOT covered and they do not care Ripoff

If you think your personal belongings are COVERED or insured, think again - they ARE NOT!"BEWARE"

This also applies to "CARRY ON" luggage, (believe it or not)! I was FORCED to find out the HARD WAY.

I purchased a "REGULATION SIZE" carry-on (fits over-head and / or under-seat), and it was "TAKEN" from me (against my will) at the doorway of the airplane and THROWN (yes THROWN) onto a plastic shute which emptied onto the ground below.

Inside my CARRY-ON, was my wallet, my tickets, two digital cameras, two laptops, virtually "EVERYTHING" of value and identity that I was traveling with, was condensed down to this small carry on.

I "IMMEDIATLY" notified the attendant of the incdent and she stated everything would be OK. I then talked to the stewardess in charge and she also could not understand why my carry on was removed from me, but would file a report, HA! What a joke!

My "CARRY ON" contained $4000 in electronics, excluding cash and credit cards.

Yes, I "DID" receive my bag, but one laptop was broken (cannot be repaired).

Yes, I have corresponded with DELTA (in writing and by phone) and they are sticking by their fine print (checked baggage is NOT insured), (apparently your CARRY ON instantly becomes CHECKED BAGGAGE when they forcefully take it from you).

So "BEWARE", "DONT" put anything of VALUE in your CARRY ON, put it in your pocket, carry it in your hand, whatever, just be aware that your CARRY ON can also be removed from you and you may never see it again, or the contents of which may be destroyed.

I cannot confirm this is true of ALL AIRLINES, but BEWARE on DELTA!
