I noticed the other day that about a year ago, Leisureplus started taking 8.95 out of my account. I was never able to catch it because it came out as a point of sale transaction off of my check card.

I contacted the company, using their number that was on my bank statement. They asked me for all kinds of account and personal information, but said I wasn't in their system. Some how, they could pull money off my check card, even though the check card number was not listed in their system.

They then told me to fax them my bank statements with the deductions and a note telling them what I want done. I said no, because I felt that if I'm already "not in their system" and they are taking money from me, then I wonder how much more they could take if I was in their system.

For my own records, I asked for an e-mail or fax that would describe to me exactly what i would need to do to get a refund. After having to talk to three bosses (two of which told me they had no e-mail or fax capabilities) to get this done, I was finally sent a very generic e-mail, with no company or personnell's name, signed "customer service". Also, they had told me that they were in Texas, but the fax number they sent it from was in Lhokos Beach, Missouri.

I've basically given up trying to get a refund and will not send these people any more information. I will also be making a report with the Texas and Maryland Attorney General. I think it's kind of sad that companies have to take money from people this way. (I will also be adding their Missouri fax number later)
