Ramada Plaza Resorts
Ripoff deceptive unfair and unprofessional

I registered for Ramada Plaza Resort's Florida vacation package and they require that you register on the phone, you cannot call back if you need time to think about registering and you cannot cancel. I thought the package sounded okay but I was really uneasy about registering because I thought it sounded a little fishy that you cannot cancel. As I was going through the process I was considering just canceling the whole thing while the representative was still on the phone, but as soon as they took my payment information they hung up on me before I could stop the registration.

I called back that day to ask that Terms and Conditions be faxed to me right away so I knew what I had gotten myself into. I had to call three times to get someone to actually agree to fax it, and the person that I talked to garanteed that it would be done that day, but it never came. The next day I faxed a letter to the vice president stating that I wanted a refund and cancellation immediately. I sent copies of the letter to the Florida and California Attorney Generals and also the Florida Department of Consumer Services. I called to make sure my fax was received and a representative said that the vice president would be calling me. I received no phone call so I faxed another letter stating again my reason for needing cancelation and refund. I mentioned the Florida Sellers of Travel Act and also the Attorney Generals.

I have still not received any contact from anyone at Ramada Plaza Resorts. I think they are deceptive, unfair, and very unprofessional. I will continue to fax and mail letters until I get a response. Hopefully this won't cause me much more hassle and I will get my refund and cancelation. I think a class action lawsuit should be filed against this company. They should not be allowed to practice business in the way that they do currently.
