Ramada ripoff strikes again

Unfortunately, I found this site too late. I had been solicited via mail and called to inquire about more details. When I advised RPR that I did not want to spend the $698 down payment, I was told to just give them $174. I was shortly sent a package which said nothing about the downpayment being non-refundable.

Months later, I did the research and found that the company is not listed with the better business bureau because they do not meet the qualifications due to multiple complaints and unresolved issues.

I called the company and reached a representative whose line was full of static (so much that I could hardly hear him). When I had this problem initially, I thought it was my line, but noticed that it only happens when I speak to RPR. It is true that the representatives rample off disclaimers so fast during your very static filled discussion, the details are very unclear. It is for these reasons, that I asked whether all the details we had discussed would be sent to me in writing.

Again, nothing they sent me told me that the deposit would be non-refundable. Nonetheless, I was told that I would not be able to receive a refund of my $174. I could on and on about the very sarcastic comments the representatives made before they rudely hung up on me during the many times I called.

One rep, Damion James, (if that's his real name) rudely told me to go ahead and file a complaint and hung up. Unfortunately, I'm sure who to file a complaint with, since they don't even meet the requirements to be a member of BBB. I am going to take the advice of some of the other victims and file with the Florida Attorney General. Let's see how far that gets me.

Thank goodness I didn't send the full $698. Contrary to the rebuttal submitted by Jennifer from RPR there is a $99/child additional fee for the cruise. Another example of RTR reps providing misinformation.

I don't know how great of a deal this is, but I would prefer not to do business with a company that provides such poor customer service and refuses refund of payment for services they never provided (In some cases, even a partial refund would be acceptable).
