Miscellaneous

We got a post card for a free 7 day Carnival cruise for listing to a sales presentation from World Travel. When we called to schedule the cruise we had to send $248.00 which we did. The next time we called we had to send another $98.00. All this time Ultimate Executive Travel knew we were looking at an Alaska cruise. The first quote was for $2740.00 for a balcony room. We can book a cruise at one of the on line travel sites for less than this. We were told the free cruise was an inside cabin with bunk beds. We called back to book the inside cabin and were told that the free cruise was only for off peak travel times which are October, November and December. Alaska cruises don't travel during these months. After months of trying to book a cruise we were told we can't use the free cruise on an Alaska cruise. Why didn't they tell us the first time we called? They thought they could get us to book the overpriced Alaska cruise. What a rip off. They said we can get a refund on the money we already paid but we haven't asked yet. We may still try to use the free cruise to go somewhere else but I'm not sending them another penny.
