I have addressed this with BJ's customer service. I was not happy with the way it was resolved. I had booked a cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines going from Boston to Bermuda June 7th-14th 2013. My daughter mentioned to me that I should call BJ's travel and see if they had a better deal. Needless to say I was hesitant about switching the booking since I had already paid the deposit to Norwegian directly. I had several conversations with the agent from BJ's and she mentioned that if I paid with a master card there would be a credit of between 100-200 dollars. We spoke several times on the phone. One conversation I asked her if I paid the deposit with the MC and then the final payment would that be the same as paying all up front to get the credit. She said it did not matter as long as it was all paid by MC. Well I called Norwegian directly and they returned my deposit. I then called BJ's spoke with the same agent and booked the cruise. Several weeks ago I went through the documents and saw that there was no mention of the Master Card credit. I called BJ's I was not able to get the same agent but spoke to someone from customer service and ask them about the credit. She said that they would have a supervisor look into it. And if there was an error they would credit me. She said it might take a few days. Well after no call several weeks later I called back and after explaining what happened they said that they had listened to a tape conversation the day I booked the trip and no mention of the MC was made. I said well we had spoken several times what about those tapes they explained they only taped the conversation when you actually book the trip. I said to them well can you explain to me why I would have cancelled a trip that I had already booked for less money with Norwegian directly to book with BJ"s for more money if there was not an advantage for me it just does not make sense. They told me after research on my second call that there was no credit card promotion. I do not think I imagined my conversation with the agent she shared the same name as my daughter so I know it was not another travel agency. I only dealt with Norwegian directly and BJ's I also told them that I thought it was unprofessional that after my original call about the MC they did not have the courtesy to call me with the results of the inquiry. This cruise is a gift for my daughter's graduation I am very unhappy with the way the whole situation was handled. I would not recommend BJ's Travel service at this point in time I have in the last 4 years gone on two cruises this if I go will be my third so I think they have lost a potentially great customer!
