Expedia Waiver vs Expedia Insurance - Beware!

Travel bookers beware! When booking travel with Expedia ensure you purchase the correct insurance and you are fully aware of what it covers. During an international vacation package booking, the insurance to be purchased was for full coverage in case of an emergency. When an illness interrupted the vacation prior to the departure date, expedia reps, and there were many spoken to, were able to assist with the cancellation of the hotels and advised me to submit m y claim with the claim company for the flight refund. 6 months later a rejection notice from the claim company was received due to the type of insurance that was purchased. 1 1/2 hours on the phone with a supervisor who was supposedly contacting the corporate office in Vegas and somehow line was disconnected and I was hung up on. Great customer service!
