We recently flew Allegiant from Rockford Il to Mesa, Az Mar.in Rockford, all went well. Everything was organized and the flight was on-time. One could pick apart the add-on fees, but it seems the norm now to tack on all of these fees. I get that-I signed up and parted with my cash, willingly. Actually, the free parking was a plus, and the location and ease of travel was great. However, the flight back-much different story. Immediately upon arriving in Mesa for the return flight, we were notified there would be a 3 hour delay. Ok-things happen! Checked in and had one bag over 5 pounds over the limit. Fined us 50 $ without an apology for the delay. Shortsighted, but-oh well. Then were told the delay would last another hour-great. It was Easter, and many of their flights through Mesa were delayed. Made the best of it. Upon boarding, the weary passengers were enthusiastic to be finally on their way. We boarded the plane and the notified that the "paperwork" necessary for the flight to continue had not been filled out, so we all waited on board wondering why we even boarded if the paperwork was not complete-maybe there was another issue-who knows. But alas, we were treated to ONE DRINK compliments of Allegiant. They really know how to make you and your family feel special! All-importantly, though, we landed eventually and greatly appreciated returning home.
