Spirit Airlines Rips Off Customers - Baggage Fees and Customer Support

I flew Spirt for the first time this past week, Feb 21 and 25 as part of a Vegas vacation package. I fly frequently and was shocked at what happned to me and about 10% of other passengers on this flight. I made the (wrong) assumption that the Spirit leg of my flights would be like most all others. WRONG! I had to pay $100 to CARRY on a standard carry on bag. The only place I saw this information posted on a small sign at the gate desk where I had to pay the $100 fee. They said anyone using the overhead compartments had to pay. That was their policy... UGH! They have you over a barrel, at that point. Pay up and fly or miss your plane and lose the price of your ticket. Customer survice was the worst I hvae seen. None of them could look any of the customers in the eye. It is a seedy company that will eventually fail as word of all this gets out I WILL NEVER FLY SPIRT AGAIN!
