$70 change fee refused after immediate date correction

I booked a flight online and inadvertently entered the incorrect date. When I received the e-mail confirmation 10 minutes later, I immediately contacted Spirit Airlines to advise that I made an error. Spirit airlines would not waive the $70 change fee to correct the date. I spoke to a supervisor who would not help me. I think that Spirit Airlines needs to be a little more understanding when it comes down to the fact that people make errors and that every correction should not be made at the expense of the consumer. I am shocked and disappointed in the way that this situation has been handled.
