Traveling & Tourism

Let me say first, to be fair, this may be an isolated incident.
However, I feel ripped off and disrespected.
I purchased a certificate from a local bargain channel that advertised that if I would receive half off of any cost of a cruise from an array of different cruise lines.
The certificates were $25 each. I purchased two certificates. I booked the first cruise for my mother and aunt on Carnival cruise to Mexico. I was pleased with that process and had very little problems with booking. I was advised by the person who booked me, that the price I was quoted by them was calculated the following way: If the total regular price of a cruise for two people is $768 ($618 for both people and $150 taxes and port fees) then they would take $309 off the total cost of the cruise (which is half of the $618) making my total $459.
Today, as I was attempting to book using my second certificate, the person i spoke with advised that that is not the way it is calculated and quoted prices that were only a $50-$75 difference from what I would book going directly through Carnival with out using any of my discounts available through Carnival. This caused me to pause and ask the representative how she was calculating the cost of the cruise. She refused to do so and only would advise that the way I described was not the way it was done. I apologized and advised I wasn't trying to insult her ect, and that I only wanted to know how the price she quoted was derived. She advised that she wouldn't and went to advise that she was too busy to talk any further with me (in a rude and condescending tone). I feel that I have been ripped off as the price she quoted is not in line with what I had just this past December with another representative.
It could be that she is not aware of the half off cruises are calculated, I'm not sure. But this is not what I purchased and I am angry. When I called a different number to speak to someone else, wouldn't you know she answered... I'm goint to book straight through Carnival. This was too much of a headache.
