AT&T Inc
Denied DSL for ten years as an IBM employee who needs broadband

Telecommunications

As an IBM employee, my company does not support the broadband options currently available in my area. I have been a loyal AT&T customer for many, many, years and I need DSL at my home. I have been requesting it for more than ten years now.

My neighbors only walking distance away can get this service.

Due to AT&T choice to deny me service, I am forced to pay over $200 per month for broadband that still does not meet my needs as an IBM employee. That is about $24000 in direct costs to me resulting from AT&T's choice to deny me service.

Oklahoma's AT&T technical support rep said DSL would never be available to me. Clearly the issue is not technical but rather a business decision to deny me service.

I hope one day there is a class action lawsuit against AT&T. I will be an eager participant in once more breaking down this monopoly attitude and behavior that offers excuses rather than service.
