Poor contracts, huge bills

I am a long haul truck driver, I wanted a camera cell phone, I went into U S Cellular explained who I was, what I already had and what I wanted, they supposedly gave me everything I had on my old plan plus the camera phone and more minutes etc. For LESS than what I was paying now which was $120.00 per month.

When the first bill came it was high but I thought that was because of start up fees etc. The next bill was huge, I started calling, it turns out their nationwide plan that does not charge for roaming and free after 7 and on weekends only applies in the LOCAL AREA!

I am a long haul truck driver who purchased the nationwide plan!

Of course I had already signed a contract and verbally they claimed they would work with me and they upped my plan (of course at a higher rate).in four months with lots of attempted contacts and few actual real people with poor solutions I owed almost $2000.00 and that doesn't include the hundreds I already paid.

The matter has been turned over to a collection agency, I have disputed it but feel as if there is no solution for me but if my story helps someone else that would be at least something.
