Mike Fowler Getting Your Money from him is like Getting Blood from a Turnip

We were happy Avalon boat owners for several years in Florida. Recently, circumstances forced us to move to an area where it was not practical to own a boat, so we decided to sell.

When we thought about it, it seemed a good idea to sell our boat through a local Avalon dealer, who, incidentally, was the same person from whom we bought the boat originally, and who had done all our service for us.

That was a very bad decision on our part. We placed our boat with Boats n More in Leesburg, where Mike Fowler is the owner. We placed our boat with him in the middle of September of this year. After a couple of weeks, Mike informed us it was sold. That would have been early in October.

Since then, every time we called him to find out where our check was, he had some excuse. We called him and called him, and each time he either claimed he sent the check or had some excuse why he hadnt.in other words, he pocketed the money from selling our boat and continually lied to try and put us off.

Finally, this week (in December), we got sick of this and drove 8 hours from the Atlanta area to Leesburg, Florida, to confront him directly. For added impact, we also brought along an off-duty police officer to make our point.

Mike did, then, finally give us our money. But we had to go to extraordinary measures to get it, and I believe if we had not confronted him directly, accompanied by a fairly intimidating escort, we never would have received it.

So this is the business behavior of Mike Fowler. He carries an F rating from the BBB, so its my guess were not the only ones hes tried to defraud.
