I paid for 1 whole year, that included childcare. Then this "new" owner came in and said he could not honor my contract and started charging me for childcare. And now the gym is closed down

Back in Dec, I paid for a 1 year contract... including childcare, up front. I went for about 2 months. Then a "new" owner comes in and the name changes. We were told that nothing would change with our contracts, they would all be honored.

I return that following week, and they have a sign up saying they apologize, but they need to start charging for childcare. I have 3 children so u can see why this upset me. But, i went ahead and paid that day... Which was i believe #3.00 per child.

The next day, my mother-in-law, whom paid for my membership, tried to call the owner and cancel our contract. The girl that answered the phone told my mother-in-law that he was busy moving in new equipment and we couldn't speak with him. My mother-in-law told her that we needed to speak with him, and his customers should be more important.

The girl then started to cry and said she was afraid he would get mad at her if she interrupted him. We called again the next day and were told that he didnt have to honor our contract. We told him we would go to another gym if he didnt. He replied with "if you go somewhere else, I am not honoring your contract. He would not let us cancel and get our money back.

We were just gonna be out of hundreds of dollars. I continued to go and pay the monthly childcare. Now the gym is closed down.
