Lifestyles For Ladies Only - - Doug Schaffer OHIO ripoff does not honor contracts closes facility without notice!

I have been a member of this facility since it opened. I signed up for a contract till 2008 to get free daycare with a membership of only $29.99 per month. A great deal!!!

Well then about a year ago they moved the facility from one side of the strip mall to the other. They moved to a old Heslop dish location. This new location was horrible. It had two large windows in the front which let in virtually no light. Then the lights they did have inside where either burned out or dimmed. The place was barely cleaned because the equipment was sweaty and there was dust all around it. Also remember that great childcare deal. Well in the new facility the child care room was the size of a walk in closet. Then they shoved 10 kids in there with one person to watch them. So there was no way I was taking my kids there anymore.

So I tried to cancel my membership and I was told the only way to cancel was to move 25 miles away from the facility. I wasn't moving so I had to figure out when I could go without the kids. Well I figured it out and started going everyday.

When I went there this moring at 7:00 AM I was greeted to a locked door and no equipment. There was a sign saying the facility was permanently closed. Then I find out from another member that the owner Doug moved all the equipment out under the cover of darkness the previous friday. I was there on friday and they where still selling memberships.

I call the corporate number for Lifestyles for Ladies who is on my contract and am told that they are not affiliated with this location. I said how is that possible you are on the contract. I am told that Doug Schaffer was using the wrong contracts. So I call the main number she gives me. I am told I won't be charged on my credit card for the month to month. Well here is my questions how come I can't cancel my contract but they can cancel it. It does not say anywhere on the contract they can just close down without notice. This whole thing is just a load of crap. I would watch out for Lifestyles for Ladies, Lady Physique, and Doug Schaefer they are all very very shady enterprises. They will be on the news tonight Channel 7 Detroit
