My son is buying a house and the mortgage company has just informed him that Gold's Gym has turned his account into collections, saying he owes money. He cancelled his membership over a year ago. He has not been there since or received any notices that he owed money.
He called them, they said they can't help him, all of their paperwork is in the process of being moved to another office. He went by. The manager would not even come out and talk to him. He called the collection agency, they said they can't do anything, to call Gold's. Gold's says it is out of their hands, he has to deal with the collection agency.
It's less than $200 but it's the principle. They have him over a barrel unless he can find his copy. We hear this is a common problem. Anyone have any suggestions?
