Gold's Gym Corporate HQ Gold's kept charging us after we moved out of state!

Well, it appears that Gold's is a classes act. We had a one year contract with Gold's Gym, in Olathe, KS and that contract was supposed to end at the end of Dec.in Oct of I had given our gym a 60 day cancellation notice to stop our contract, due to us moving, and they said they would forward it to corporate. That should have been my first 'red flag.' We relocated out of state and in May, I received a bill for three months dues (Jan- Mar). I contacted the small gym in Olathe and they gave me the phone number to the corporate offices in Merriam, KS. (913-362-2106)

I called corporate and all they needed to cancel the bill was copy of my current lease/mortgage and one copy of a utility bill. Proof of the move, I guess. I sent them the info and thought it was all taken care of.in Jan of I received another bill and we did it all again. Unbelievable. Again, thought it was taken care of.

Well, in May of I received a letter from a collections agency wanting the three months dues. I told the collection company what I had done with Gold's and they said that if I could correct the problem with corporate, they would cancel the account against me. With proof, of course. Oh yea, they said "good luck with this!" Obviously, they already knew what was about to happen.

I called Gold's corporate and explained my situation with the YOUNG lady and she said that once the bill goes to the collection agency, their is nothing they are WILLING to due. "That is the way the owner of Gold's wants it!" Well, I told her to tell the owner to kiss my backside. I took care of the bill with the collections company, due to them about to hack my credit. UNBELIEVABLE!

To me, it's not about the money. I just want to be treated honestly and I guess they don't know how to do that.
