Tried to pay the remaining balance on a jacket I had ordered and paid 1/2 down on. Wrote a check for $109 and was declined by Telecheck. Paid rest of balance with credit card knowing I had four figure balance in my checking account.

Called the Telecheck number and was told declined because they had no information on me in their system. Told me they don't check if balance in account but made me give them address, phone, other information.

After I did it wished I hadn't. Turns out they can decline a check for whatever reason they want.

Intend to write merchant and tell him will not shop there or recommend them to anyone else. I have good credit-high FICO score - good checking account, and don't need to be made to feel I am a credit no-good by some company in Texas.
