Declines check - Here's how to complain effectively!

I, like others in complaint, was a victim of Telecheck Services during the purchase of a car. The checking account was open, had twice the cash required but Telecheck reported back that my checking account was closed!
My bank verified that Telecheck NEVER contacted them, so it is unclear how they got that information.
Become an effective complainer; go to the Federal Trade Commission website and file a complaint. Go to www.ftc.org and go to "complaint assistant". Telecheck is governed by the FTC so this information will be used against them.
Secondly, file a report with the Better Business Bureau in Houston, Texas where Telecheck is located. 1333 w. Loop South, Ste 1200 Houston, TX 77027. Additionally, I filed a report at the local Better Business Bureau where the car dealership was using Telecheck. (In my case San Jose). BTW, Telecheck has a BBB rating of B - which must be pretty bad considering they are in Texas (no offense to Texans, but your state isn't exactly consumer friendly).
Thirdly, write directly to Telecheck and ask for the information in your file. You have a right to dispute any inaccurate information.
Lastly, do not frequent merchants that use Telecheck. I will tell people why and either use my credit card or go elsewhere.
