Disclaimer: you will not be compensated to read this lengthy, over opinionated job description of this "Entry Level" 2nd interview process nor are you an employee of The Merrimack Group, blah blah blah, waive your rights and soul sign here or leave, blah, blah)

I just had my second "interview" with this company that lasted over 10 hours and of course, I was offered the job after passing their bs tests and listening to all their blathering. I have had plenty of real jobs and conducted enough interviews of my own to know that no second interview should last more than an hour or two at the very maximum, much less 10!

Before you even leave the office, you sign a disclaimer and waiver of rights stating that you are NOT to be compensated for your time and you are NOT an employee but simply being evaluated during this lengthy process of elimination of the other poor fools unfortunate enough to get hooked by this too good to be true scheme. If you're ready to throw away your youth, pride and respect from others and develop a growing sense of self hatred, look no further! Your dream job awaits!

To start this hellish day of solicitation and brainwashing, myself and one other prospect were whisked away in a crammed car with the our "manager" and two other propective "partners" to hear nothing but a barrage of how many high profile corporations are represented by our exciting new employer and how much money we can stand to make in our new found "career" albeit if we want it bad enough.

After a lot of labored driving to show off businesses they allegedly represent, I had this displeasure of finding out that I could only hope to become a "commission only" solicitor by starting off with "business to business" rejection and disdainful looks of repulsion followed by changing un-lubed gears and going "door to door". What a change of pace.

Yeah, that's right. The kind of person that makes most of us want to buy guns to leave at the front door with a gentle sign on the door that reads, "Solicitor's Welcome! Come Right In!"

Anyway, I decided that as soon my potential "manager" and I were kicked out of an office building for obvious solicitation by security that this obviously wasn't going to be my cup of tea and seemed more and more like the B.S. I suspecting from the beginning when I couldn't get a straight answer about what "shadowing" entailed in "direct marketing".

After that embarrassing episode, then deceitfully worming our way into Costco to approach the unsuspecting patrons and witnessing the ball faced lies the "manager" told to sell his crappy coupon books (of which he sold none), I thought it time to voice my growing malcontent and politely say "this isn't for me, and I'm not comfortable with your approach and I feel like the kind of creep I come slithering to the door to greet, wearing ketchup smeared all over my hands to hope frighten away." (okay, you're right... I didn't say that last part)

"The "manager" then did his best to reassure me of all the positives and what I'd miss out on and yatta yatta bull whatever so I played along for fun and couldn't get home anyway since I had no friggin clue where I was and had no chance for a ride at the time.

The "awesome" coupon books neither had promotions to do with either sporting events or "dream vacations" like the website lets on but, more like others have already stated here on this website and possibly others, pizza coupons, yaaay.

Don't be fooled like I was. And thanks to this website and others posted, I feel more than justified in not returning or even bothering to call these swine back to tell them anything. Frankly, I'm embarrassed they have any of my personal information.
