Silver Bomber Electric Scooter is junk ripoff company won't answer the phone

Sports

I purchased a Silver Bomber Electric Scooter for x-mas 2001. Since we live in rainy Washington State, the scooter had little use during the winter—maybe 2 recharges of use. Summer is here, and it no longer works. The drive belt had fallen off and looked worn out. My boyfriend diasassembled part of the scooter to re-install the belt. Due to a design or manufacturing flaw, the drive belt does not line up between the motor and wheel, which causes the belt to wear and fall off.

We've been calling the manufacturer's phone number listed on the scooter, but a automated message picks-up and says to leave a message. Then the message says there are too many messages, i.E. The message system is full, so you can't leave a message. The scooter came with a one year warranty, which I doubt will be honored since they won't answer their phone.

My daughter weighs under 80 pounds, so that isn't an issue, and like I stated earlier, the scooter had very little use. I guess I'm out the $150. I am going to try to return it to the military BX where I purchased it.
