Action Bowling Supply (a.K.A. Bowl300.com) ripped me off—TWICE.

Back in December 1999, I ordered a bowling ball over the internet from Action Bowling Supply (also known as Bowl300.com) for my son's birthday. Action Bowling Supply's promise was to ship within ten working days.

After twelve business days I called to check on the status of the bowling ball. They said it was sent to their shipping section and should go out the next day. I informed the person on the phone to provide UPS with special instruction not to drop the ball off at my door step because the extreme cold conditions would damage the ball.in these type of high-performance bowling balls the core can crack very easily in extreme temperatures, without any external proof. The person said that he would relay those instructions.

The ball arrived and was simply left on the front porch in freezing temperatures. When I arrived home, about four hours after delivery, I called UPS to come pick up the unopened package because of failure to follow agreed upon instructions. I called Action Bowling Supply to inform them of my actions and they said that my actions were satisfactory. I requested they send another ball out to replace the one being returned. They stated they couldn't until the other one got returned to them. They recommended that I order a second one, then the first one could just be credited.

I ordered the second one. I began to e-mail them from the tenth business day on to find out status. Nobody ever responded. When I called to check on it they stated I had to speak to a supervisor but none was available at that time. I asked for specific time that a supervisor would be available. They provided me with times, but the supervisor was never there. Fifteen business days later the order was cancelled by me. Eighteen business days from original order date the ball was shipped. When the order arrived I was dumbfounded because I thought the order was cancelled. Once again I refused delivery. The person I spoke with at Action Bowling Supply just said, "OK" and the two ball orders would be credited to my account.in March I noticed neither ball was credited to my account. At least twice a week, for two months, I sent electronic mails (that were never answered) and made phone calls (where I was always given the run around.)

Finally, after two months of staying on their back they credited the balls, but refused to credit the $24 shipping and handling for the two balls stating that it was my fault for the returns. They stated there was nothing wrong with their delivery times or the conditions of the balls (even though it is impossible to tell the condition of a core by physical appearance.)

It is this "reporter's" opinion and experience that Action Bowling Supply (a.K.A. Bowl300.com) cannot be trusted with your merchandise or money.
