Did not issue order to be delivered until I complained, ripoff

I ordered a portable basketball hoop/stand for $179 on 9/8 from basketballhoopsonline.com and I called to check on status of shipment after not receiving my product in the amount of time noted on the website.

I called the company, a gentleman answered and said he couldn't help me and gave me someone's cell phone # that was forwarded to their home. I was told to email my request because the person was unable to assist me at the time. I emailed my request for shipping info and tracking # and received it the next day.

I called DHL Express on 9/23 and they had no record of picking up my product from the manufacturer, although I was given a DHL tracking number and date of shipment 9/14 from basketballhoopsonline.com.

I kept trying the person's cell phone until she answered and let her know what DHL told me, she of course couldn't explain why or what happened with my shipment and said she would get back to me on Monday 9/26.

No one called me back on Monday. I called DHL again with the same tracking # and amazingly the package was picked up that same evening I called and complained and now I have to wait another week before I receive my product. The 8 day promise of delivery has now turned into 3 weeks and I paid by debit card, so they had the benefit of my cash long ago.

I am very dissatisfied with the service and the response. I just hope my hoop actually does show up in one piece and as I ordered it. This will discourage me from doing business over the internet.
