Fab Homecoming Dress
Daughter bought dress for homecoming. Item not as pictured, sent it back for refund, they have denied it

My daughter bought a dress for $155.00, for her Homecoming dance at school. When the dress arrived 2 days before her dance it was not this free flowing delicate little fancy dress. It was stiff, oversized complete with cheesy little plastic beads sewn on the bodice of the dress.

We immediately contacted the company which wer found out was in China, and told them this is not at all what we thought would be coming to us. They asked us to take pictures, which we did. They said it looked nice and we should be happy with it. I told them no, we were not happy with this dress and we would like to return it, as their policy states we could. They gave us an address to return it to but said that if it wasn't a defect that we could only get 20 - 50% of our money back. I explained to her that no we wanted all of our money back.

After many emails, we later get notice that yes they had received the dress back but it was a nice dress and we could only get 20% refund because it is in good condition. I told them that this was not acceptable. They then come back with, ok we will give you 30% back. I advised them that I am filing a claim with paypal as they have not held up their end of the deal and we want our money back. The dress was immediately returned to them with all tags and packaging. We were entitled to our money back.

Paypal can do nothing because by this time it is now past the 45 days from the original transaction date. Even though a month of that is mailing time back and forth. Fab Homecoming Dress now tells me "we think your dress is in good condition so we couldn't refund you. Hope you understand". I don't understand. This company not only sent us a sub standard dress, they refuse to refund any money.

I have all the emails that have gone back and forth. I don't know how to press charges on a Chinese company... And I want to alert others so that this doesn't happen to them!
