Magazine Subscription Renewal Scam

October 18 I received a collection notice from NSA saying Popular Science Magazine had sent my delinquent renewal to them for collection! What craziness allows a supposedly reputable company to try to extort a magazine subscription through a collection agency? I paid my first year's subscription and did not want to continue a second year, and now they are trying to force it on me through a collection agency? I thought it was a scam until I read other complaints here.
