They lied and said my equip was broken in order to up sell me to Gen 4 service

A wind storm moved my dish. Tech said my modem was bad after he did a system check. A service tech came out and found it was only the dish but they had already up sold me to Gen 4. The dish was installed in the open next to the bay and is exposed to very high winds. I am told that it is my problem for location they chose. How many others have been up sold by being deceived?
