Ripoff, insulted, refused to refund

In Sept. I purchased a veil for my future wife for 190$ to wear on our wedding day. When the hair dresser was putting it into her hair, it fell apart in 3 places. My wife had to wear rubber bands in her hair to hold the veil together.

Examining the veil, we found that it came apart where the comb of the veil was soldered to the veil itself. We took it to a jeweler where we learned that the solder was very poorly done, and that the peace was of very low quality.

We took it back to the bridal corner where we had purchased it, and asked for half of our money back, as the piece fell apart on our wedding day, which we felt was unacceptable. The manager of the store was very rude and insisted that "obviously force was applied" and that the veil simply would not "just break without someone forcing it" despite the fact that we have 4 witnesses to the contrary. She absolutely refused to help us on that day, and said that she would call the vendor of the piece, then get back to us... But that she did not feel as though we would be getting our money back because Denise (my wife) did wear it on our wedding day.

We did not appreciate being sold what turned out to be such a low quality piece of costume jewelry at that price, that would fall apart on the biggest day of our lives, and we certainly did not like the insinuation that we would lie about the piece falling apart just to get some of our money back. The manager was very insulting, and condescending... We walked into the shop upset, but we ended up leaving the shop absolutely infuriated.
