Ali Express Scam to get your personal information

It looks like this company is now trying to scam you for your personal information, by telling you your order is closed because they can not verify the payment. When I placed a simple $8.00 order, I received an email saying, "Thank you for shopping on AliExpress! Unfortunately, your payment could not be verified and Order * has been closed for security reasons".

The email had a link to their claim form, which did not work; it also had a link with the order number, which also did not work. So I went to the website to find out why my order was closed; the website stated..."please submit the required documents including copies of your ID card (or your passport), credit card and credit card Statement". I emailed them and told them that I have been ordering from several websites for years with just my debit/credit card and have never been asked to submit all of the personal information for which they are asking.

I told them that they already had my debit information and to send them a copy of my ID or PASSPORT, CREDIT CARD AND CREDIT CARD STATEMENT would give them everything they needed to steal my identity! I told them thanks for closing my order and I WILL NOT give them all of that personal information, nor would I ever attempt ordering from them again. Beware consumers, nothing good can come out of giving anyone that type of personal information!
