Free Inspection - NOT!

Called because of noises heard in 3rd floor bedroom ceiling-we thought squirrels. We were told for inspection, setting traps and monitoring=$289. Tech got here and searched in crawl space around 3rd floor bedroom and found only bat droppings on one side of house - no squirrels. Went outside and looked up at roof-dormer for possible entrance site. He gave me a few ideas on how to fix problem, took check and left. No traps set, no monitoring. Later I see on web site-"Free Inspections"; called 800 #..."the free inspection is a drive-by only, and because tech went inside-it's $289." If the stated problem is in the attic, how can you tell with just a drive-by??? Time on site=1hr. Yes I would recommend—Use Someone Else!
