Unauthorized MMode charges Modesto California

I went to AT&T in June to change my son's account so that he didn't have internet access after receiving a $300 bill. The rep passworded his account so that only I had access. I was told that the only charges I should see in excess of his plan is if he went over his minutes.in September, I received a new bill with internet charges on it. When I called AT&T Customer No-Service, I was told that it was never blocked and that the phone allows for this service. If I wanted to block it, I would have to program his phone. However, the next AT&T Customer No-Service rep told me that this wouldn't work either because the phone most likely would be automatically reset by AT&T to allow service again. Of course none of this was explained to me in June!

My son swears he didn't download the ring tones. I checked his phone and they are not on there and he has a lot from the previous problem. He also says that he only text messaged about 10 times not 267 times. And that he didn't download anything else from the internet. My understanding from his friends is that they have also been charged for services they didn't use.

AT&T says that the sim card in his phone makes it impossible for these charges to be incorrect.

I have talked to the reps at AT&T and have asked for a supervisor. They are never in and going to call back which they never do. The reps give you snail mail to file a complaint. Did find the internet address and sent a complaint and cc: all the FCC commissioners.

Am waiting for a response. Am looking for any class action lawsuits. This is the worst abuse I have ever seen from a company. Their customer service people are rude, not responsive and non-caring. And to top it off, you have to wait forever to talk to one!
