DS Waters of America Scammed my new business with a Free water offer then sent huge bills!

I recently opened a new business and Sparkletts Water was quick to show up and try to sell me on bottled water service. I told the sales rep that the business wasn't even open yet and I didn't need service. He then offered me 3 months of free service, unlimited water jugs for 3 months and free cooler rental for 3 months if I was willing to allow him to leave the first batch of water and the cooler. I asked if there was any contract and he said no contract and that if at any time I wanted to cancel all I had to do was call and cancel. I agreed but quickly noticed that the paper he wanted me to sign said I was bound to a 1 year contract and had a $100 early termination fee. I quickly confronted the sales rep about it and he said they never hold people to that and not to worry. I said ok as long as that is there i'm not gonna sign. Then he scratched that out of the contract and wrote month to month, no early termination fee and initialed it. I still wouldn't sign and he said no problem so he just wrote my first name on the line and asked me where to leave the bottles and cooler. Since I didn't sign anything, heck he didn't even know my last name, I figured no worries. What a MISTAKE!

Within a couple weeks the first bill showed up. They charged me for 3 bottle of water, cooler rental, and even a delivery fee. I called Sparkletts to tell them about the deal the sales rep had given me of 3 months free, the RUDE customer service rep said that the sales rep has no authority to offer such deals. I told him that if they wouldn't honor the offer that I would cancel the service. He quickly responded with "I'll be happy to cancel your contract but I will have to add a $100 early termination fee and a $50 pick up fee to your current bill, how would you like to pay for that? We can take credit cards over the phone." I told him that I would not pay and that I didnot sign any contract. He told me that the file shows that I signed a contract. Knowing that I didn't sign anything and that I didn't even give him my last name I asked him what my last name was since according to his records I signed, he said my full name was Andy Business Owner. At that point I had enough and asked to speak to his supervisor but sad news is the supervisor was just as useless and rude as the customer service rep. I'm not worried about them collecting or reporting because like I said they don't even have my last name but it is annoying to see these bill notices that keep showing up. What a waste of paper and time.

After searching the internet for reviews I noticed I'm not the only person they pull this scam on. Apparently they hope you will cancel so they can get a quick $150. I'll never again use Sparkletts or any of the other Water companies they own, ex. Alhambra, Athena, Belmont, Crystal, Deep Rock, Hinckley Springs, Kentwood, Mount Olympus, Relyant, Sierra Springs, and Standard. If you pull reviews on the other names the same complaints come up on everyone of them. It appears they have many names to try and trick the same people multiple times. As soon as I cancelled my account with Sparkletts I started receiving solicitation calls from Crystal, Sierra Springs, and Standard Water. Sorry Sparkletts but you'll only waste my time once. You could've had a lifetime customer but instead you'll have a lifetime of bad reviews from me.

I now have a reputable local water company supplying my shop. I will not list the name of the new company because I don't want people to think i'm reporting you to promote them, that's not the case. But when customers compliment the fresh tasting water at my business I first tell them about my current supply company and the wonderful and honest job that they do and I then tell them about how Sparkletts tried to Scam and rip me off.
