Metro pcs and insurance for phone ripoff

I purchased my phone brand new, about 4 months ago i had a problem with the phone. The screen went blank and i could not recieve any reception. I called the service center and they told me to go to the service center. I went to the service center and they told me there was nothing they could do about the phone i had to buy another phone. I payed for insurance for the phone and when i left town to take care of my daughter, when i returned and asked them to turn my phone back on. I was told that i could not use my insurance because the phone is used. I told them that i got the phone brand new they said that once you turn your phone off and back on it is concidered a used phone.

So i had to pay for another and i paied for insurance for nothing. It was nothing i did for the phone to just go out, i was told by the service center the phone i had was defective.
