Bill Moss Home owners beware! Could not perform a basic tile job in my bathroom without totally screwing it up and wasting our time and money

My wife and I contacted Bill Moss from Tileworks in Charlotte, NC to tile the floor and showers in two bathroom. He showed us a fancy portfolio of his jobs and has a nice web site. This guy is a total scam artist and terrible contractor to have work in your home. He is the typical scum ball out looking to scam nice people willing to spend money to improve their home. These are things we observed;

1. Poor work in general. Could not set a straight line to save his life. We had to have him rip off large sections and redo because they were a total eyesore. He made us buy all material so we wasted a large bunch of expensive tile and have to get more to have someone who can actually lay tile finish the job. He wasted so many full size tiles of ours with inaccurate cuts, we found them hidden in garage. Cost us around $500 in tile for bad cuts. Now we see the material list he gave us for material to buy was WAY off.
2. Dirty. This crew had no respect for our house. Need to repaint walls, have carpets cleaned. Left a mess everywhere they went. They ripped out old stuff in bathrooms and never brought a shop vac or broom, had to use mine! Threw all old material down at the street for days before removing it. Never cleaned the grout off the floors after grouting. I ended up doing it.
3 Did not show up on time, not once! Or would no show. Always some lame excuse.
4. Never met one timeline during the work. He said that both bathrooms would be complete in 2 weeks, only 1 bathroom was 50% done at the end of 10 days before we fired him.
5. Lied to us several times. Total lier! Had me buy more material along the way and used on other jobs I'm sure.
6. Repeatedly attempted to get money advancements during the job prior to completion.

We put up with this guy for way too long before finally throwing him out of our house. This is his scam in short;
1. Show fancy pictures - probably not his work. Give a timeline for completion. Have you buy all material.
2. Get a down payment up front.
3. Stall repeatedly once starting the work.
4. Hit you up for advancements on the final sum for a while.
5. Show up for 2-3 hours a day, getting basically nothing completed.
6. After he gets enough money he performs so poorly all you want to do is get rid of him.

My wife and I are so disappointed we chose Tileworks and Bill Moss to tile our bathrooms. Now we have our master completely tore up and our other bath half done. We have to find someone else now to complete the job he started but could not handle. Total scam. STAY AWAY from this guy. You will be sorry like we are.
